WHAAAAAA!!!!

My baby potty trained her little self this week. I'm not ready for her to be potty trained. I only get to hear the swish-swish of her little diaper booty on the way to bed at night. The walk to the bedroom is not long enough. I never cared to hurry any of the kids along with the potty training, but both girls decided on their own at about 22 months. Maybe it has something to do with Texas summer heat and heavy, hot diapers. Maybe I've discovered the secret for potty trainers everywhere: Try to keep your kid in diapers as long as possible! Seriously. Diapers are much easier than public restrooms with little people who have no germ fear. As soon as you love the idea of diapers forever, your little one will refuse to wear them. Sigh.

I know what you mean, I have never been a fan of rushing potty training. Especially when you take road trips! But, that's great at the same time.

Boys do tend to take a little longer JD. My boy was threeish when he did, and it was a one day deal. His uncle told him if he'd wear big underwear and not pee in them, he'd take him to McDonalds. He was 100%, even night trained from that day on! Once he decides it's cool, it'll be a done deal. Plus the bladder will be big enough to hold more by then! LOL

You are right about them being trained when they decide that it is worth the effort. My youngest was eighteen months when she decided that she wanted "syilk pans" like her big sister. Big sis was 4 1/2 and brother was 2 1/2 at the time. The boy said, "Nothing doing!", but the little one went into those silk panties with the flower on the leg and was dry day and night from that moment on. Even children have a price at which they can be bought!
